Re: Rust In Petrol Tank

Thank you for your reply's.

I was mentally prepared to hear it would be best to take it out. It also gives me the opportunity to try and fit a high pressure petrol pipe (for future mods) . Thank you for the link also.

Re: What Front Speaker?

i spent a couple of hours the other night looking at ebay/amazon, car audio sites ect , on my 90 excel the hole is 90mm and i couldnt find anything , partly because so few speakers actually specify the mounting hole required, alot of modern speakers taper off, i imagine a few would go in but not sit...

Re: Window Switches

I did buy 3 later type switches and then sat and thought about how to make them fit, i would have to make 2 new plates that they sit in, which would of been fine but i would also have to cut into the actual door and leather, then I would have make up new connector blocks etc. and although once done ...

The did have the later 91/92 ones which have 5 pins not 6, I bought 3 @£8 each Out of the 3 original switches I have 1 good one, 1 temperamental and 1 that I think I...

Window Switches

Hello

I don't suppose there is a alternative to the window switches in the 90my excel? I just cant bring myself to pay about £100 for 2 on sj's site. i know the 91 and 92 excels have a different type that can be had far cheaper.

Re: High Hydrocarbons

Hi i actually left the distributer in place and the coil, 2 reasons, firstly removing the distributor requires a blanking plate and secondly and most importantly , if anything on the ecu side goes i can just re-route the ht leads and be on my way again, so the vacuum system is just the same as stand...

Re: High Hydrocarbons

Hi i used a place near me call efi-parts.com, he specialises in ecu's ect. when i went to him he said he didn't normally do what i was asking, but he did it anyway and tbh he was fantastic. he recommended a adaptronics e420d for my price range as it had more functions if i went full efi. he made a c...
