Thanks

Re: Elite 50th Anniversary - Lancaster Insurance support
How about some help with trying to get some of the "unobtainium" items moving forward? Now Esprits are welcome on the forum how about Marcasite trim?

Re: New comer - Progress (edit)
Is that your original torque converter or did you get a reconditioned one? Is that the strap fitted by Ashcroft? So clean - shame you'll never see it one it's fitted!!

Do the crash panels original? Yours is an early car isn't it? Glad you're back on the case though!

Re: New loudspeakers for 1985 Excel
Congratulations on your new Excel, and welcome to the forum :D. I've also been pondering what to do about music in my Elite - currently being restored. I need to do more research but I wondered whether mid/high coaxial speakers in the front could be used with bass drive units in the rear, given that...

Elite/Eclat front seats
Wanted - Elite/Eclat leather front seats - or even parts - especially the backs.
Thanks!

Re: NEC Restoration Show - 22-24 March 2024
That looked like a very nice stand! Hi Pete - is your car fully painted already? Neil. Yep - some disappointing blistering on the wings but they will have to wait for quite a while - other than that it's ready to be reassembled as the project rolls on (at its usual glacial pace!) Our stand features...

Re: Elite restoration begins!
The cam covers are just temporary while the rest of the cam housing either passes or fails! If they work OK I'll get some slightly more decorative items cast - I had wondered what to cast into them

And here it is snugged in the engine bay:

Re: Elite restoration begins!
Thanks guys! I'm using conservative cams (factory 107s) and the supercharger will not produce much boost, but I'm hoping for about 250hp and with useable torque from about 2k rpm. The gearbox will restrict rpm to about 6k - sorry Peter! I will post up some data when I finally get it on a rolling roa...
