Re: Gold Excel for sale

I sold this car in November on The Market - it did sell in November (reluctantly, the car is good) for £7500. So I was rather surprised by the price it is now listed at.

Re: Wickins badge keyfobs

Thanks Pete, have messaged you. Just noticed I spelt Wickins wrong in the first message text ... don't follow that example on ebay as it won't find the right page!

Wickins badge keyfobs

Having had trouble finding an affordable leather Wickens badge key fob I commissioned a small run of 50. They are available on ebay (a search for "Wickins Keyfob" should bring it up with pictures) with a small mark up but I would like to sell to lotusexcel.net members at cost price of £7.75 plus pos...

Re: Mathewsons.

Check out the video. There is quite a contrast between the condition of the interior and exterior.

Lotus Cars website #MYLOTUS

There is a glaring lack of Elites/Eclats/Excels on the Lotus Cars website on the #MYLOTUS page. Does anyone have some pretty high-definition photos of their cars with some short text that they might like to post? It would be great for our cars to muscle in on the more regular fayre and get the profi...

Re: Bicester Sunday Scramble

Apologies, I only saw this thread today, Tuesday. Carl, great to meet you briefly, your car looked fantastic and stole the show amongst the Esprits; and TrevorK, the Champagne Excel is mine. Sorry to miss you - hopefully next time. Simon

London Lisboa Lotus Excel

A brilliant day (26th April) at Brooklands got off to the perfect surprise start, as luckily the 2019 London Lisboa HERO rally was getting underway: 2000 miles in 10 days. Amongst the spectacle of 50 varied pre-1986 cars, ranging from a 1920s Bentley to an 80s Golf GTI was a lovely red C-Reg Excel, ...

Re: New owner, Cambridge

Thanks for the welcome all and for the low fuel reminder. The fuel gauge is reading a 1/4 tank but I have a feeling your hunch is correct and a refuel will sort it. Looking forward to getting stuck in to the forum.

New owner, Cambridge

Hi all, I have acquired a lovely 1988 Excel SE in Champagne Gold - I thought is was a rare colour but judging by comments in some other threads it seems it is not as rare as I thought! The car is not perfect but is in good shape, well looked after by the last two owners, smooth and precise, no squea...
