Hi, passed the MOT no problem. took the Gear Lever out today. All looks fine.
So now going to replace the Oil in the Gearbox.
Have ordered 5lts of Comma SX75W-90 (GL5) Oil to change it.
I think it only takes 2.5lts but 5lts was cheaper than 3lts.

Thanks Bash. That one is going for MOT Monday so will check out what you suggest next week after that's been done.

I am finding on my 1990se Excel it is not smooth when I select all the Forward Gears and harder for Reverse. Non actually Crunch so the Clutch must be Disengaging. That picture shows as if there is lots of room around the Master Cylinder for access. But on my 1990 SE as said
the Fuse & Relay Board is in the way, of seeing it & getting to it.

I have removed the Slave Cylinder & Hose, very easy job to do with the Car on Axle Stands. My problem is still trying to get the Master Cylinder out. I can't see it let alone remove the Clip & Pin, & then the Retaining Nuts. I have even taken out the Seat, to give more room & the Fuse Cover also the...

The last thing I want to do is remove the Dash.
Am I looking in the wrong place is it outside of the Pedal Box, on the Righthand side?

Thanks Alan. It's the Retaining Nuts & Clevis Pin, inside I am finding difficult to see where they are.

Has anyone any pictures of under the Dash, of the Clutch Master Cylinder to show exactly the Clevis Pin & the Bolts?

Yes I know who that is.
But I need the material size & supplier as I want to get a pair to fit on another car I have that isn't a Lotus.
