Bumpers and waistline time now off. Still waiting for the rack to come back.

Number of nut and bolt bags is scary, I might have a few left at the end.
You wouldn’t be a proper mechanic if you didn’t!!

Re: Another timing belt question

I've done Weedon a couple of times recently, but next week end will definitely be Castle Combe for me. Quite like to check my car with your Burroughs gauge Stu if you can bring it along. Still to arrange, but I can drop by another time to MK and do a direct cross check with Malrigs. Results could b...

Re: New comer - Progress (edit)

I find the loft a good space for relatively light bits Trouble is, my loft door seems to be one way only. What goes up rarely comes down. Tony 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Those hatches are more common than you think - had a message last week to say some parts found in my mother’s loft - put there about 40 years a...

Somewhere on this Forum is a map of most members, easy to find local enthusiasts.

Marginally closer to you is MetBlue (Tony) who drives (sometimes) an Excel, and claims to be restoring an Elite. 🤣🤣🤣 BTW, photo post didn't work. There's a good short Youtube that Alan did that explains very well. When I find it again, I'll post a link if no one beats me to it. Tony Welcome to the ...

Re: 123 ignition help

Mine is the Bluetooth version, so I just connect it to the app on my phone.
I think other models might be usb - have a look at their website, or contact them - normally very helpful.

Re: 123 ignition help

You shouldn’t need the AB14 unit if that is the black box Also 123 should have a rev limiter - so won’t need the other black box either. There are several versions of the 123. Can you read out the maps yours has? Hopefully the recommended settings weren’t those from pjr. I now own that car and the m...

Re: Wiper motor...again!

I wanted to fit a new spacer, part number B089M0418F. This goes on the spindle shaft and acts as a spacer between the wheelbox and the body. Nobody appears to stock them, so I made one out of neoprene sheet from a boat chandlers. It came in a small roll, 2mm thick, so I cut 35mm square pieces, stac...

It's so good I've got a couple of questions: Is it possible to spray paint the 3D printed part? And if it is, what paint would you use?
If it’s plastic, I would think you could use an adhesion promoter and then can paint in normal car paint of your choice.
