Re: Club polo shirts, fleeces etc.

Looks good.

Would it make any difference to size if the “ www” was dropped as not really needed these days and the lotusexcel.net was in lower case?

Re: Elite 50th Anniversary - Lancaster Insurance support

It would be nice to have some of those flag type banners to help identify our stands at the NEC and other shows where there is a group attending.
They may want their name on there as well, just depends how large they would want their logo.

Re: 1985 2.2LC

All Excels had electronic ignition as standard.
It’s a Lucas constant energy system with an AB14 module mounted on the right inner wing. It was fitted to other cars eg Jags.
Note the coil is also specific to this system.

“Teddy bear” fabric
If you'd posted that last Monday I wouldn't have took it seriously. 😀

Not sure I've seen it. Anyone got a photo?
This is it in an Esprit

I’ve seen the same in Eclat and Elite.

Re: Lotus in the Peak 2024

I’ve just noticed the Classic run isn’t starting at Carlton Lees as last couple of years. I’m sure it did say Carlton Lees when tickets first released, but now - Classic run start point is Yondermann Café SK17 8RW on the A623. Still about 30 mins from the Manifold. For those staying on Friday Who wo...

Elite convertible !!!!

I’m sure this car has featured on here, but can’t find post at the moment.

What’s left of an Elite for sale on Facebook. Not sure there’s much usable on it, but does seem to have all windscreen trim.

Re: Carb fuel line removal

Nothing special, just the nut on the end of the fuel line to each carb. If fully refurbing carbs you will need to take the carb off the car, including the top cover. Otherwise it’s going to be a struggle to remove the float, float valve and top gasket. One thing to note - when removing the pin that ...

Re: NEC Restoration Show - 22-24 March 2024

In a word - no. Anodised trims were wrapped, a few minor paint blemishes, but biggest issue looked to be drivers door, which had dropped significantly. Window frames didn't look great either. Alan and I reckoned it would have been a good buy at £12K. Particularly as it's done very few miles in last...

Looks like the Excel being auctioned didn't sell. It shows as a buy it now price of £8,650.
The gold Elite looks to have sold for £15,750.

Tony
The Excel reached £6k in the auction, but as you say wasn’t sold.

Coverdale have templates - they sent a set to me to check fit when I ordered a set from them. I marked up what I needed and returned them.
