Re: Oil Change Advice
As said above. I wouldn’t be adding cheap oil and running it for 20% of your total annual mileage (btw these cars are much better driven regularly). Valvolene VR1 is a good oil to use. Also if doing such low mileage then I’d be more concerned about petrol going off, especially if using E10, gumming ...

Re: New member - Excel SA
You can use strips of metal across the gaps held with self tappers to support and hold the pieces in alignment whilst then repairing with fibreglass from the underside. Remove screws and metal strips and then do the glass repair from the outside.

Re: loss of spark ignition
Definitely do as above. With just air box and trumpets removed you will still be able to run the engine to test. With manifold off - can’t do that. Also manifold has water jacket, so you’re going to need to disconnect from water, disconnect fuel pipes, throttle and choke cables vac pipe and need new...

Re: loss of spark ignition
I have the 123 bluetooth one fitted to mine - fitted by previous owner trying to cure a problem with running which was actually nothing to do with distributor. There is no preset map for the Excel, you have to load your own. This was not very good when I got the car, but now set very close to facto...

Re: Pictures of my Excel
Welcome. Looks very nice. I particularly like the colour combo - mine will be the same soon. At the moment it’s got a tan 1/2 leather interior, but just purchased a full leather one the same colour as yours to fit. So great to see how nice it looks.

Re: The Winterbottom Run
I'm interested in attending this too, probably doing the bulk of the drive from South Wales on the Thursday night, staying somewhere that evening, then making our way to a rendezvous on Friday morning. We would be looking to stay in / around Wymondham on Friday night. Hi Bryan. I will probably be d...

Driver’s door card
I’m looking for a driver’s door card. The late style with the small door pocket. Colour not too important as I will recolour it when I do the rest of the interior.
