Re: Rough cold running

A quick way to test for an air leak is spray some thing like damp start, easy start or brake or carb cleaner around the joints with the engine running. If revs rise you’ve found your leak.

Windscreen replacement

Ok, so after the NEC I ended up going home with a new windscreen from Lotusbits  While everything is off the car and it’s just in primer I will be removing the current windscreen and fit the new one after it’s painted. Has anyone successfully removed and replaced one? Any tips?

Re: Bumper Mounting bolts, what size?

I think they’re M8x20mm, but could check over the weekend as mine are bagged up at the workshop.

Now for photo posting. There's a link somewhere on here to a YouTube video that Alan did. I'll try to find it.

Re: NEC Classic Motor Show 2021

I would also like to echo Tony’s thanks and say a formal thank you myself to Richard for all the behind the scenes work put in to organising and coordinating everything.
Also, as said, it was very enjoyable talking to people interested in the cars including a few motoring celebrities.

That bumper certainly looks much better.
The electricity problems sound a real PIA!

It was a pleasure. Really enjoyed it, so thank you for letting me be a part of it.

Re: Rough cold running

A quick thing to check - do you have the restrictor (carb idle jet) fitted in the vac hose? This is needed to smooth the pulsed vacuum so the distributor sees a constant vacuum when cold.

Oooh, that looks an interesting project! I like yellow cars :D wonder how much that would cost - I could do with another project!!
No MOT history, so guess it’s been off the road for quite some time. Interior looks nice.

Re: First job jobbed - 2 more found !!!

The worst area for lacquer peal is (was) on my boot lid - Two patches, one each side, both fairly large. Ooops !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got carried away with that razor blade again last week ( see earlier post on paint repair in this thread) : https://www.dropbox.com/s/vh5i351k9gvxmcj/211023a.jpg?raw=1...
