The Lotus Grand Tourers

The owner has rebuilt the carbs and it's now running well so he has decided to keep it and put it back on the road. I don't blame him.

I've had another look through the photos he sent but I can't read the VIN when I zoom in on the plate. I can see some numbers on the bellhousing flange of the block but, again, when I zoom.in, they are too blurred to make out. I was watching an old Harry's Garage video this afternoon. It was the second in the series where Tyrrell's Workshop is stripping down Harry's Espada engine and, near the start, a black Expat can be seen. Good to see a true exotic car in Tyrrell's Workshop amongst all those Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

My goodness! Someone has done a lot of work. The new site is a massive improvement over the old one, looking so much more professional.

I saw the car when I went to the viewing day. It did look very nice but not perfect. I would have thought that £10,000 was a decent buying price but I'm not sure there will be many willing to pay £15,000.
