1985 Excel for sale
After only doing 100 miles in the last year I've decided to sell my excel so it can get the use it deserves. 2 years ago it had a full nut and bolt rebuild. It was fully re-upholstered in tan leather with a new roof lining fitted. The laquer was peeling so it was flatted back and wrapped in gun meta...

Thanks for that Dave, the gasket I used was a paper gasket and was probably less than 1mm thick. Any recommendations for a fibre gasket supplier.

Can you buy ready made cork gaskets or do you make them yourself? The engine was rebuilt on the bench and every mating surface was spotless.

Cam cover gasket
Hi, I've finally got my excel on the road. Unfortunately ive got the dreaded cam cover leak. Ive read about people using a rubber gasket but I cant find anyone who stocks. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Yes I removed the rubber trim, it doesn't seem to have any adjustments. I might see if I can push the door skin in and bond it somehow to the door bar.
