Re: NEC Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show 2020
I live 30mins from the NEC and would be happy to drop my car (Early Excel) off on to the stand and then come and get it after the show. I could definitely attend the show one, possibly two days but would like to have a look around the show while there.

Re: Choke cable fitting
Thanks John.
I think you are right about the wings.
I have opened them up a bit with a fine cable tie looped through the slots so will see how that goes and pick up a Clip at some point just in case.

Re: Choke cable fitting
Hi John
Did you ever get this sorted as mine does the same ?
Lotusbits have offered a clip but as you say it seems to be a square peg with a round hole clip !!
Thanks

Re: The Future of the Club
Thanks for all your hard work Chris. I would be happy to pay an annual fee to access the forum to cover Chris's costs. I think everything worked brilliantly as it was to be honest - with Angus stepping down it would be great if there was another volunteer to organise things like show attendance, mer...

Re: The Future of the Club
I don't know what has been said regards Angus stepping away, but although he has said publicly that he needs to step away, I don't think I've seen anything which indicates the club nor Forum have an impending deadline of "Take over the running by X date or else it gets shut down", so my preference ...

Re: The Future of the Club
Thanks for the replies. The benefits of a paid "Lotus Elite, Eclat & Excel Owners Club" would be to raise the money for things like the cost of the insurance etc that is required for "the club" to have a stand at things like the classic car show at the NEC etc etc This has always been organised and ...

Re: The Future of the Club
Now would seem to be the appropriate time to consider whether or not the club should be set up on a more formal basis, potentially with a paid membership etc, officers etc.
Please note I'm not volunteering - just raising the point for people to comment on.

Re: NEC - November 2019
People who have never organised a stand at the NEC might not be aware that the show organisers are EXTREMELY miserly with the distribution of free passes. Only 2 are issued per car per day and not everyone displaying wants to help out on the stand, which often leaves stand organisers trying to hold...
