Looks like a fantastic project. I wish I had the space but with an Esprit and an Elite awaiting serious attention, it's not going to happen. :)

I was well-laden with luggage including 13 bottles of wine and the wife (which weighs loads!).
Lol, did you read that back before you posted it? :D

Re: Blue

What colour did you ask them to paint it?

A quick google search reveals Z11 is a light blue Lotus colour from 1982.
I think the 'Z' may represent a paint manufacturers paint type.

Re: The Future of the Club

How is the hosting for the club paid for? If the club looks like its going to end, maybe the option of incorporating it into the Lotus forums would be a way of saving it? I've not been a very active member but I appreciate the combined knowledge of everyone who contributes. I also realise that there...

Re: Thank You Angus

A new set of window frames will be gracing my Elite when the doors get rebuilt. I'm very pleased that these were able to be remanufactured.
Thanks Angus. :)

Re: Crooked steering wheel

Sounds like a simple case of the tracking being out as mentioned above. To do it correctly, the mechanic should secure the steering wheel in the correct position before adjusting the wheels so they toe in or out as per the vehicle specification. I bet someone has changed a track rod end and guessed ...

If you want a new fibre optic light source I think this is the same and cheaper than SJ - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-DRC78 :)

Re: Pricing structures by suppliers- ridiculous

Its never a true discount; they always have a sale on and the non-sale prices are hugely inflated to make them look like a great deal with their sale. You have to work to find the best deal. :)

Re: Headlight pod adjustment.

I would start by removing the headlamp and you'll then be able to disconnect the rod from the motor. Then check that the headlamp pod isn't being obstructed from fully opening. I'm only familiar with the Elite S2.2 lights but assume they work in the same manner whereby the rod can be adjusted for cl...
