Re: Gps speedo
For a 6 month period my speedo stopped working (needed a new cable). I already had a Garmin Head Up Display in the car, so just used that - linked to my phone. Worked fine. Unfortunately, no longer produced or supported, so I have to use an old android phone as I cannot migrate the app to my current...

Re: Looking for a late SE
I would suggest not getting too fixated on low mileage as these cars need to be used regularly - and they are now all over 30 years old. For regular use, this is where the MOT checker comes in - use it to see that it hasn't been sitting around for the past few years. Also important is who has been m...

I don't think that it is this one from just up the road in Welwyn Garden City either - as I don't think it is back on the road yet.

Here's a list that does include A65. Re: SGT - Station Garage Taplow
Hmmm... website states For almost 50 years SGT has had an enviable heritage as a classic and specialist motor business. This important aspect of our business sets us apart from many garages. Our small team of dedicated specialists have been highly trained in their respective motoring brands. We have...

Re: SGT - Station Garage Taplow
Have you contacted SGT?
When I contracted the garage that sold my Esprit to its previous owner (in 1985), they were only too happy to talk to me about it. Offered me new number plates and some current stickers for free.

Re: 215 Tyres
I have Vredestein Sportrac 205/55 15s on my Excel - and although Vredestein show them on their website, I'm not sure that you can get them in the UK any more.

I'd probably swap my SE for an SA as it would give my wife, with only an auto licence, a Lotus to drive

Re: Potential Buyer Looking for Advice Please
Hadn't seen this thread before, but I bought the Excel from Sovereign Car Sales. I had kept my eye on it for quite a while and watched the price drop. They had no clue about Lotus cars, was advertised as an Eclat - as that was what was on the V5, so the car never came up in any searches for Excel. I...

Re: ULEZ expansion 2023 have your say
This website contains a map of camera locations: https://ulez.co.uk/ulez-camera-locations/
Don't take them all as gospel though and do a recce on your route - as I think that a new camera has been installed on one of my possible routes. Will have to double check though.
